Innovation hub

The collaborative hub won't just be a physical space; it'll be an embodiment of creativity, diversity, and innovation. Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, the hub will boast flexible workspaces, modern meeting rooms, co-working areas, and innovation labs that cater to the needs of entrepreneurs, researchers, and industry leaders alike. The building itself emphasises sustainability and incorporates eco-friendly materials and energy-efficient systems, aligning with the initiative's commitment to a greener future.

The hub, opening in early 2025, will actively promote inclusivity and diversity. Regular events, workshops, and networking sessions being organised to nurture a sense of community, breaking down barriers and fostering connections that transcend age, gender, and cultural backgrounds.

Real-world testbed

Our Real-world testbed at White Rose Park is an exciting experiment zone that brings innovation to life. Imagine a playground where we can try out and refine new ideas before putting them into practice. It's like a big science lab, but for real-world solutions!

With the help of AQL, our testbed partner, we're setting up a high-speed 5G network that connects everything together. This means we can pilot different projects and test them in a controlled yet dynamic environment. By early 2024, we'll have even more capabilities ready to try out.

Advanced digital twin

Our advanced digital twin will possess the capability to efficiently process and visualise real-time data, enabling evidence-based policy making and significantly improving intervention accuracy when implementing solutions for civic and business challenges.

In addition, it will provide an invaluable platform for testing innovations during implementation.  Its user-friendly design will make it accessible to a wider audience, and it will further seek to democratise access and understanding of digital twins by offering experiential learning opportunities.

These aspects of our advanced digital twin concept demonstrate its potential to shape a more data-driven, inclusive, and innovative future.
